Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. This is done solely for your convenience, so you won’t have to provide this information again if you leave another comment later. These cookies expire after 1 year.

If you go to the login page, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and will be deleted automatically when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will set up a certain number of cookies to save your login information and screen display preferences. A login cookie lasts for two days, and a screen option cookie lasts for a year. If you click “Remember Me”, your login cookie will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookie will be deleted.

If you edit or publish an item, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data. It only contains the post ID of the item you have just edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor was visiting the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking tools, and monitor your interactions with that embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to such websites.

Use and transmission of your personal data

Length of storage of your personal data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata will be retained indefinitely. This allows the website to automatically recognise and approve subsequent comments instead of placing them in the moderation queue.

For users who register on our site (if this is possible), we also store the personal data entered in their profile. All users can see, modify or delete their personal data (except for their username) at any time. The site administrators can also see and modify this data.

The rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this website, or have left comments, you can request to receive a file of all the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data stored for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Transmission of your personal data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
